Java Architect/Engineer
We are currently looking for a Java Architect capable of working in a collaborative, collegial fashion to join our highly intelligent and experienced team. Responsibilities
- Design and develop stable J2EE/XML based high performance, scalable software products and derivative applications.
- Quickly analyze existing codebase and recommend refactorings and optimizations to enhance stability and maintainability.
- Define and develop reference architectures and solutions
- Serve as liaison between Client and development team.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on development best practices to Client personnel.
Required Technical Background
- 6+ years experience as a software engineer, at least 5 in Java/J2EE
- 2+ years experience as a team lead or architect
- Deep knowledge and experience with Oracle App Server
- Experience building commercial or commercial quality systems with 24x7 operation characteristics
- Direct development experience with Web Services, especially SOAP over JMS
- Experience with Business Process Management (BPM), Workflow engines and related technology
- Experience with Directory service technology, such as LDAP and JNDI, and products, such as Oracle Internet Directory
- Enterprise Applications Integration (EAI) experience
- Bachelor's Degree in CS, EE, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience

Project Manager
We are currently looking for implementation project managers to join a highly intelligent and experienced team capable of working in a collaborative, collegial fashion.

Responsibilities
- Manage project teams through application development, test and deployment processes.
- Perform project planning and sizing activities, identify resource requirements, and build teams capable of producing specified deliverables.
- Perform work breakdown and task identification, assign tasks to project resources, track progress on assigned tasks, and manage the assembly of completed tasks into coherent deliverables.
- Manage project execution by multiple resources in different locations.
- Establish a scope management process.
- Develop and mentor teams in establishing effective processes and practices and methodologies for ensuring quality deliverables.
- Provide client/customer support and consultation.
- Identify and communicate major milestones and risks to achieving those milestones in a positive manner.
- Establish good project metrics and success criteria across the organization.
- Prepare presentations of milestone deliverables to clients, obtain feedback and channel client feedback into development efforts.
- Help junior team members take advantage of their abilities and improve their contributions.
- Identify new business opportunities at the customer site and communicate them to account manager.
Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 5 years project management experience, which may include packaged product implementation and custom application development and implementation projects.
- At least 8 years experience in software or application development or project implementation, as an analyst, application developer, QA lead, or project manager.
- At 4 years of experience managing projects in a consulting environment.
- Familiarity with current development technologies, e.g. Java/J2EE; .NET; RDBMS platforms.
- Strong presentation and communication skills (written and oral).
- Experience managing scope and risks in client projects.
- Experience using project management tools.
- Experience developing useful project metrics and applying those metrics.
- Record of delivering projects on time and under budget.
- Ability and willingness to travel (moderate travel required).
- Ability to interact constructively with technical and business colleagues and client personnel.
- Ability and willingness to undertake whatever management, technical and administrative tasks are required to meet project objectives.
- Experience capturing and documenting project requirements and developing test plans.

Senior Data Modeler
We are currently looking for an individual with a strong background and understanding of large scale database modeling and design to provide consulting services to our clients.
If you're a self-motivated individual, able to define project requirements and execute against them with minimal management involvement, let us know.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with business people to capture requirements and analyze those requirements to determine conceptual data models.
- Create conceptual and logical data models, refine them, and develop physical data models for deployment.
- Drive the effective use of standard industry database modeling tools.
- Analyze data structures and recommend normalization and performance improvements.
- Work with very large database schemas, in organizations where there are many database instances.
- Design and write high-performance queries.
- Interact with software engineers and users during all phases to ensure coherence between software design and database models.
- Manage the data life cycle (archiving, removal of out-of-date data, etc.).
- Prepare written documentation on all database structures.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7-9 years of experience database design and modeling.
- Minimum 5 years data modeling experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience using database design tools such as ERWin, PowerDesigner, etc. for developing logical and physical data models.
- 5+ years related data modeling experience in a relational database environment (e.g. DB2 or Oracle).
- Ability to multi-task with several concurrent issues and projects.
- Strong oral and written interpersonal and communications skills.
- Well-rounded understanding of ground-up database design and normalization procedures.
- Ability to work at client site (out of home state) 100% of the time for the next year.
- Good conceptual understanding of workflow design; experience using tools like Oracle Workflow, Biztalk, etc. to create workflows.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Solid process modeling skills.
- Understanding of data warehousing and decision support tools and techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology field.
- Understanding of object oriented design and programming methods.
- Experience installing and configuring third party OLAP and analytical applications.
- Understanding of star schema design, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
- In depth experience with Powerdesigner desirable. However, we will train the successful candidate on use of this tool.
