Sprint: Wise Developers' Tools
Sprint is a tool EC Wise built for managing requirements, design, and production.
In traditional development models, teams often struggle to coordinate specification, design, and built assets. Accurately representing a stable design in the multiple forms necessary for a comprehensive specification, and coping with the usual requirement changes can create headaches for designers and developers alike. Agile development methods prescribe more frequent release cycles, more parallel development, and continuous review and reprioritization of requirements. At the same time, they tend to underemphasize comprehensive specifications and design in favor of perpetual review and adjustments.
To be agile in the context of large projects involving specialized analysis and design teams and distributed development resources poses a major challenge.
To address this challenge we built Sprint, an internal tool for managing requirements, design and production artifacts and keeping them in synch. Sprint provides a shared repository for capturing features, use cases, and business rules, conducting online discussions on any item, and linking graphic representations of the target product back to the features and use cases that the representations are intended to fulfill.
